Mrs. Mannerly at Alley Theatre

Inspired by his childhood memories of etiquette class, playwright Jeffrey Hatcher conjures up the world of a seven-year-old mastering social savvy under the guidance of the demanding Mrs. Mannerly.

No student in her 36 years of teaching has achieved a perfect score, but Mrs. Mannerly hides a secret past.

Recommended for general audiences, the play opens officially Feb. 3.
