Mokara Spa

If the titular character on the TV series Ugly Betty spent a morning being pampered at Mokara Spa, then drifted over to the adjacent Cerón Salon for a chic haircut and ended the day at the nearby Galleria trading in her dowdy wardrobe for high fashion, she’d look and feel absolutely flawless and the show would be cancelled. Transformations are what Mokara is all about, with luxurious body and skin treatments that focus on stimulating and relaxing the mind, body and spirit. There is a long list of enticing offerings—we especially like the anti-aging Texas Chardonnay Antioxidant Body Ritual. And since the spa is located in the Omni Hotel, we love that after having our bodies slathered in chardonnay grape seed extract, we can saunter out to the hotel’s posh refurbed  pool area and sip a little chardonnay from a glass.

Inside the 7,100-foot Mokara Spa is the Omni's fitness center, where you can sweat to picturesque views of the pool and swan pond.
