We’re not sure if the River Oaks set is ready for this massive invasion of hipness, but the rest of us can’t wait. On the edge of that swanky neighborhood (where Westheimer and Kirby converge) a chic urban village is being constructed that will offer upscale shopping, dining, entertainment and 350 luxury residences. Slated for completion at any moment, West Ave. will boast a total of 190,000 square feet of retail space on the first and second floors brimming with bistros, cafés and fashion-forward boutiques. We’re betting that this new kid on the block will be a hit and that even the River Oaks crowd will come around.
