90210 vixen robbed: Shannen Doherty's raw deal on Dancing with the Stars

I was sure Kate Gosselin’s time on Dancing with the Stars had expired but instead that dubious distinction went to Shannen Doherty — so much for wishful thinking. Forgettable dancers always go home before the talentless ones. I forgot one of the first rules of DWIS.

Who can remember Doherty's dances? Except that (I think) she wore black and white in both numbers. In the end, Doherty's departure worked out well for the show logistically as her partner, Mark Ballas, had to step out of the competition due to an injury.

The surprise of the evening was Pamela Anderson in the bottom two. I’m not a huge Anderson fan, but her dancing was good and I thought she’d at least secure the male vote. Guess that went to Nicole Scherzinger. It's a funny idea when you consider the beginning of Nicole's dance where her partner, Derek, runs from Pamela (dressed as Marilyn Monroe) to Nicole (see video). Out with the old and in with the new!

The good news for Pamela? She’s bound to get the pity vote next week. Maybe (please!) she'll even pull pity voters from Gosselin and my wishful thinking will be realized.
