It's Thanksgiving week, and what better way to celebrate the big feast than with artwork that is dishwasher safe?

Austin artist Lisa Orr makes ceramics that exaggerate traditional porcelain with the playful qualities of Mexican earthenware and Victorian majolica. You can pick it up at Optical Project, run by Houston artist (and Glasstire contributor) Bill Davenport, open in the Heights every Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and by appointment.

Glasstire is a nonprofit Web site that covers the visual arts scene in Texas.
