CultureMap launch party wrap up: See the video

Those of you who made it to our launch event last week already know. Besides the DJs, break dancers, Cadillacs, 14 bars and five restaurant stations, a host of Houston arts organizations put the "culture" into the CultureMap party.

The Houston Grand Opera; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Society for Performing Arts; Contemporary Arts Museum Houston; Holocaust Museum Houston; Children's Museum of Houston, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Aurora Picture Show, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra and the Houston Symphony all had a strong presence at the party, with booths and free goodies for the gift bags.

The art orgs at the fête also donated a slew of fabulous prizes to be raffled off to our dedicated readers, including tickets to the ballet, symphony and opera; memberships with the Aurora Picture Show, the Holocaust Museum, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; passes for the Buffalo Bayou Partnership's boat cruise and more.
