GLASSTIRE ART PICK OF THE WEEK

Clowning around at NotsuoH

Jim Pirtle, empresario behind downtown's NotsuoH (you may know it as "The Home of Easy Credit" on Main Street), recently discovered a treasure trove of clown art in the River Oaks home of a recently deceased former Astroarena developer and co-owner of the Ringling Bros. circus.

Don't ask, just go. Especially if you've never been to NotsuoH. Be prepared for any combination of barflys, chess players, teen-age speed punk bands and other human curiosities.

"ClownsuoH," on view through Groundhog Day (Feb. 2) at NotsuoH, 314 Main Street.

Glasstire is a nonprofit Web site that covers the visual arts scene in Texas.
